How to read: Each column represents a unique set of habitat types. The bar height above shows how many projects have that exact combination. Filled dots show which habitats are included. NRU Projects by Site

Total project cost (x) vs. GBEP's share of that cost (y) per long-term site. Bubbles in the upper portion are projects where GBEP provided most or all of the funding. Bubbles near the bottom represent projects where GBEP's contribution was a smaller share of a larger investment from multiple funders. Bubble size = number of projects. The x-axis uses a logarithmic scale — each step multiplies by 10 rather than adding a fixed amount — so that small and large projects can be compared side by side without the largest ones compressing everything else into a corner. GBEP Projects by Plan Priority

All of the projects featured in this database support Plan Priority 2 through the NRU subcommittee. Many projects support more than one priority through their associated action plans. This graphic illustrates the action plans also supported by the NRU projects and can be filtered by fiscal year at the top.

Category Definitions

NPS — Improve water quality through nonpoint source pollution abatement. PS — Improve water quality through point source pollution abatement. PHA — Promote public health and awareness. HC — Support habitat conservation. SC — Support species conservation. FWI — Sustain freshwater inflows. SPO — Preserve Galveston Bay through stakeholder and partner outreach. PEA — Support public education and awareness initiatives. RES — Collaborate with research institutions to support focus area applied research and monitoring. ACS — Increase access to Galveston Bay ecosystem information.
